Prayers Farm Nigeria

Thanks for visiting.  Before you go any further; we have a most important message to share with you.

No matter how hard we try, we fail in many ways to be good.  When we die, we will be judged by God as to how we lived here on earth, and whether we will go to heaven or hell. No one will measure-up, because no one has ever really lived a perfect good life.  Therefore; on our own “good” merits, we will be sentenced to an eternity in hell.  But wait!  There is hope!!  The Bible says:

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Realize your need for a Savior who will take away sin and your punishment, and believe in Jesus as your Savior.  Jesus said; John 14:6… I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Our mission is to open doors in Nigeria to the love of Christ by giving our time and money in order to teach others to improve their temporal lives (the few years we live on earth).  Through this teaching relationship, we can introduce them to Christ. 

 

Putting others first is one of the primary teachings of Christ.  By demonstrating personal sacrifice (putting others first) we identify ourselves with The Savior, Christ Jesus.   

Teaching others to raise healthy food for themselves and their family is where our mission begins.  Many missions begin and end there.  However, to improve one’s temporal life without introducing them to Christ Jesus who makes their eternal life in heaven possible is to only give them a happy few years on earth followed by an eternity spent in hell.   

We believe the gospel must be preached.  Preaching the gospel’s message of salvation is the ultimate expression of love, and we pray God will use Prayers Farm to spread true love where ever God may lead us (to learn this message listen to our Audio Gospel).

Our goal for the next five years is to establish a training and production center for aquaculture in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.  Nigeria is in the west central area of Africa and is the largest populated country on the continent of Africa.  Prayers Farm Nigeria will offer FREE training for people on a student/internship type basis. 

Prospective applicants will apply for a residency and live in a village dormitory between one to four months, depending on their level of commitment, and will work as  participants in our aquaculture and agriculture -  fish and vegetable production facility.   Prayers Farm Nigeria will operate as a non-profit ministry.  The funds generated from fish and vegetable sales can offset the free training center’s operating costs.   

 

Student interns will be required to participate in daily classroom courses which provides hands on training in modern fish farming and teaches hydroponic techniques.  Those students staying for extended training commitments will reside at our Prayers Farm village and will occupy one of the  provided homes with a micro-aquaculture and agricultural farm.  This advanced final phase of training will challenge and familiarize the students with areas of problem solving, and will help to develop their confidence to return to their own homes and successfully operate and permanently maintain their own residential farm, or business venture farm. 

Optional Bible study classes will be available in the evenings and hopefully share the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ for those called for His purposes.  We endeavor to help improve the everyday lives of the people of Nigeria by helping them become fishermen and prayerfully become fishers of men for the Kingdom of God.

    

In September 2008 we met with Commissioner of Agriculture, Prof. Etok Ekanem , to discuss the project.  Per his recommendation Prayers Farm prepared and submitted a feasibility study to Prof. Ekanem and the Governor and Secretary of State.  The result of the feasibility was very favorable.

Prayers Farm has partnered with Engineering Ministries International (EMI) for site plan design and engineering support for all facilities on the Prayers Farm property.
